All the Other Days of Elijah

I should have known I wouldn't actually post that many times in a row. Oh well. Anyway, birthday gifts continued to flow... here's a toy he got a kick out of.

We visited Oak Harbor and the lake on Father's Day weekend and we celebrated all of the June birthdays, including daddy's and nina's. But we also pre-celebrated Elijah's birthday!

He loves balloons, and dancing with Grandma!

He also loves visiting Copper, and playing all around Grandma's and Grandpa's house.

On his birthday, Elijah had a wonderful day. Elijah's favorite birthday gift was having both mommy AND daddy home with him. We went to Molbak's and Elijah picked out a tree he wanted us to get in honor of his first birthday (which we won't be actually buying and planting until after the remodel). He really seemed to like the flowers and the weather was great for outdoor browsing. That night he had a little cupcake... he seemed to like it.

Unfortunately with such a celebration comes an appointment with the doc. Four shots and other bad things. Poor little guy had a hard day after his birthday. Luckily, his Grandparents Becker arrived late Thursday night, and he was excited to reaquaint with them on Friday morning. His official birthday party--of course, at the lake--was Saturday. He got so many toys and gifts that Grandma and Grandpa have to bring a big truckload when they visit next time.

We did the usual at the lake...relaxed, played cards, and played with the little boys.

And of course Elijah had more time with Grandma and Grandpa.

They found a perfect little place to play...in the pool!

We came back Sunday and spent some time at home with his Grandparents Becker. Here he is showing off his independence, while everyone reaches out to give him a hand.

They got him a cool soccer ball and net, so he can learn early.

Here's more Elijah just being a big one-year-old:)

Check out his milk-mustache.
