Elijah had his 4-month check up yesterday and had to get 3 shots with very long needles, deep into his thigh muscle. He cried til his little face was bright red and shook his little arms...it was so sad. But the good news is that hopefully now he won't get Polio, Pneumococcal or a few other diseases.
Anyway, he seemed ok yesterday, but this morning he woke up very unhappy. Elijah is a morning person (he definitely didn't get that from his parents), and is usually very happy and playful in the early morning hours. Today he woke up crying and kept fussing until he went down for his nap. We took his temperature, and he has a fever, which the doc and the Microsoft nurse line say is normal for babies after recieving vaccines.
Poor baby...his first fever. A sad day.
He also got weighed and measured yesterday!
Length: 27 inches!!
Weight: 17 lbs!
What a big boy! Hopefully by tomorrow around this time, Elijah will be back to just teething pains and the fever will be gone.
Just one new picture...another one of him sleeping. He's learned to open and close his fingers, and practices on his head while he sleeps, and on things he can grab while he's awake.

Elijah is just like me!!! I'm a morning person too, and I have NO idea where I got it from (I guess my dad's usually up early). On the weekends, I'm usually up by 8, even if I'm hungover, or just walking in the door from the night before. I don't know why. I like to savour my saturday and sunday mornings, have a latte and read the Post. Mmmm ... Elijah, you are already on the path toward enlightenment ;)
